About LenScape

LenScape is a website proposal my partner and I developed this fall and will build and implement in spring 2025. Our goal is to give developers, city planners, and housing advocates a way to communicate the value of gentle density to the communities they are building in. Designed as a public engagement tool, LenScape equips professionals with a more transparent, visual, and human-centered way to build understanding and support for sustainable growth.

Research Process

This year, the MS Design + Innovation program at the University of Wisconsin is centering its work on how designers can meaningfully address the housing crisis. We began at the empathizing stage, speaking with experts across the field and learning how they approach expanding access to affordable housing. Through this research, my partner and I identified the critical gap known as the Missing Middle, and that insight became the foundation for our design direction.

Design Prototype Brief

We crated a design proposal for our website, LenScape. In the spring, we will work with partners, build the website, and test it on real users. Bellow is the link to our proposal.

Stakeholder Presentation

We presented our project pitch to a group of stakeholders who could become potential partners and gathered their feedback. Our conversations included a range of voices—local developers, city planners, and housing advocates—helping us understand the project’s real-world potential and constraints.
