About
Project: Fiber & Gift is a sustainable wrapping product concept that blends organic hemp fabric with the traditional Japanese art of furoshiki. Designed to reduce the 4.6 million pounds of wrapping paper produced annually in the U.S., the product promotes reuse, education, and environmental stewardship.
Challenge: The goal was to create a brand that not only offered an eco-friendly alternative to single-use wrapping but also communicated a deeper cultural and environmental story, appealing to conscious consumers seeking both function and meaning.
Strategy: I developed a brand system and a series of fabric patterns centered on sustainability and education. The packaging includes a story card highlighting furoshiki traditions and the product’s connection to reforestation initiatives.
Media: Product concept, brand identity, custom fabric patterns and story card insert.
